In dem Kapi­tel The evo­lu­ti­on of demand for digi­tal ID solu­ti­ons wer­den u.a. die Ein­satz­mög­lich­kei­ten der Block­chain-Tech­no­lo­gie im Bereich KYC beleuchtet.

Die Autoren dia­gnos­ti­zie­ren in dem Abschnitt A shift from orga­niza­tio­nal to indi­vi­du­al owner­ship of data wei­ter­hin eine Akzent- bzw. Mach­ver­schie­bung, was den Umgang mit den Kun­den­da­ten betrifft. Ins­ge­samt läuft die Ent­wick­lung dar­auf hin­aus, dass die Kun­den die Hoheit über ihre Daten bean­spru­chen bzw. zurück­ge­win­nen. Die Ant­wort der Ban­ken dar­auf könn­ten per­mis­sio­ned iden­ti­ty plat­forms, in gewis­sem Sin­ne Per­so­nal Data Banks, sein:
